Danny Young sues Tiwa Savage for alleged copyright theft

Danny young has proceeded to sue Tiwa after the video was restored on Youtube

Veteran singer cum hit-maker, Tiwa Savage has been hit with an N200M lawsuit by singer Danny Young Uber the allegations of copyright theft.

Earlier this morning, it was reported that the video for Tiwa Savage’s song, ‘One’ which was initially taken down by streaming platform, YouTube following allegations of copyright infringement by a third party believed to be Ajibola Olumuyiwa Danladi, popularly known as Danny Young had been restored as the allegations could not be proven.

But instead of a happy ending, Danny Young has now taken the case further with a lawsuit filed against her at the Federal Hight Court, Lagos, dated February 13, 2019.

This was made known by Danny Young on his Instagram page with the caption,

”Tiwa! I know pple love u! Even me… BUT I still have to sue u bcos u stole my sh*t! a simple dialogue would av solved this but u prefer it this way. Now we will be in court discussing some 200,000,000 Damages.”

Danny Young Sues Tiwa Savage For Alleged Copyright Theft

In a press release by the law firm representing him, Creative Legal and signed by its Principal Attorney, Justin Ige, it stated the reason why the decision was made,

“Piracy is bad enough, but it is perhaps worse when creative people appear to completely disrespect the intellectual property rights of fellow creatives. Such conduct should not be without due consequences”

A lay man may not understand what we are fighting for as it is more technical than just the lyrics. Nigeria is a place where writers do not get credits from the artiste they wrote songs for because the artiste wants to get all the glory alone.

Producers also do not know that they have a right to royalties even after being paid for the beat. If I contribute one word to your composition, I automatically have a right to credits as one of the writers. This is a world standard and anything less is unacceptable especially when coming from an artiste that has international exposure.”

Since the allegations were initially made, Tiwa Savage has refused to respond to it in any terms However, a few media holdings has made efforts to reach out to the singer, Tiwa Savage’s representatives for comment but are yet to get any response

Cardi B Says She's "Working Things Out" With Offset

Cardi B Says She's "Working Things Out" With Offset

Cardi B recently called out  TMZ for lying about her reunion with Offset and the idea of him vowing to not mess with any more groupies. "TMZ why ya be lyin?" Cardi tweeted at the publication. "I haven't even been in ATL since Christmas."

The "Money" rapper appeared in court today for the ongoing stripper brawl case and she filled some reporters in on her and Offset's current relationship standing. Cardi has maintained her privacy on the matter, leaving many people curious if she will forgive Offset and get back to a happy family. When reporters asked her what's going on with her husband, she responded: "We're working things out, baby."

"There’s a lot of things that I feel like I can’t do, (but) m****rf****r (Offset) is like, ‘You can do everything and anything’ all the time. I never had nobody push me like that," Cardi previously said of her husband. "It’s really good for me now to have somebody that just motivates me and lets me know every day like, ‘You can do anything, you just gotta set your mind (to it)."

She added: "Now I be more involved in my business. That’s something that I got taught with my partner, that’s why I really appreciate my baby father a lot. Even though we go through a lot of s**t, but (he’s) definitely made me a better person, a wiser person."

Nicki Minaj Announces "Hard White" Music Video Dropping Tonight

Nicki Minaj Announces "Hard White" Music Video Dropping Tonight

Nicki Minaj has surprisingly kept a low profile recently. Throughout 2018, she caused a storm through her numerous controversies with Travis Scott, Cardi B, Meek Mill, and others for various reasons. However, she also put out one of her best bodies of work, Queen. The album was a strong effort that backed up the majority of the shit-talking she did last year. She's been steadily promoting it over the months but tonight, she'll be unveiling the visuals for one of the project's stand-out tracks.

Nicki Minaj's "Hard White" has a visual treatment on the way that will be dropping at midnight. The rapper took to Instagram to make the announcement alongside several extras who give her a bit of assistance. Nicki drops a little freestyle while her extras hold down hypeman duties. We're excited to see what she has up her sleeve for the video. This marks Nicki's first music video since dropping "Barbie Dreams" in September.

Aside from the visuals, Nicki is gearing up to launch her European tour with Juice WRLD in a few weeks. The "Nicki WRLD" tour kicks off in Munich on Feb. 21st before concluding in Geneva on March 28th. Juice WRLD's actually replacing Future who was initially supposed to embark on a world tour with Nicki last summer but the "Ganja Burns" rapper announced that it was being postponed.

Lil Pump Makes The Boldest Claim: "I Got Lady Gaga On The Album"

Lil Pump Makes The Boldest Claim: "I Got Lady Gaga On The Album"

Lil Pump was on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio program the moment his new "Racks on Racks" video went to press. As we reported, the video employs a Mad Max dystopian to post-millennial perfection - even Zane Lowe seemed to be in agreement. After previewing the song, and talking down to Pump's level of "everyday" pragmatism, Zane quizzed his guest on the particulars of his long-anticipated Harverd Dropout tape.

And though Pump kept a poker face, for the most part, he did reveal one big name contributor to the project, a surprising one at that. "You want a name?” Lil Pump asked. "Lady Gaga. I got Lady Gaga on the album, what’s up? It’s going down!" But when it comes to Lil Pump high propensity for trollery, believe at your own peril. For all we know, his assertion of Lady Gaga could be a giant Red Herring leading to much of the same. But I for one, see the plausibility of Lil Pump and Lady Gaga converging at the intersection of both their careers.

Once Harverd Dropout is released, Lil Pump has every intention of fulfilling his touring obligations, which include a performance at Coachella with Big Guwop and Spacepurpp under the group alias of "Gucci Gang." If you'll recall, the Coachella festival had the media mass rolling on the floor at the suggestion of a "Gucci Gang." Turns out they weren't lollygagging after all.

Meek Mill Isn't Surprised About 6ix9ine Reportedly Testifying Against Associate

Meek Mill Isn't Surprised About 6ix9ine Reportedly Testifying Against Associate

Tekashi 6ix9ine looks like he might be behind bars for a long time if he's convicted in his federal case. He isn't here to entertain us on Instagram anymore but we're constantly getting updates on his current legal situation. Earlier today, it was reported that the rainbow-haired rapper "dropped the dime" on one of his associates for the Chief Keef shooting. Unfortunately, the person he reportedly pinned to the crime is someone who was seen heavily in his early music videos, Kooda B. However, this news isn't shocking to Meek Mill who thinks 6ix9ine's scenario is a shame.

Meek Mill is back on Twitter heavily these days, interacting with fans and chiming in on the latest news. After reports on 6ix9ine's scenario emerged, Meek Mill took to the social media platform to share his thoughts on the recent news on 6ix9ine.

"That’s a shame," he wrote. "when I came home everybody was like he got some real dudes backing him “ I was like how” y’all better stop running behind rappers acting like y’all ready to throw y’all lives away over some stupid shit .. I have seen this coming a while ago."

Meek previously spoke on Tekashi 6ix9ine's scenario during the Championships press run. The rapper explained that he thinks 6ix9ine is a good kid but he got caught up in the streets when he shouldn't have even been in it in the first place.

"I'd hit him like that shit you doing is stupid at this point. I know you might have got on from doing it and it worked out to be able to make some money. But I think you need to slow down," he said. "The world will deliver the energy that you're putting out. You're delivering a gangster type of energy. He locked up in the middle of some sh*t. You gave that energy, you kinda get that energy back."

A$AP Rocky Gives Soulja Boy Credit For Paving The Way For Him

A$AP Rocky Gives Soulja Boy Credit For Paving The Way For Him

Soulja Boy is making it quite clear that he's getting ready to take over the rap game this year. Big Draco kicked things off with his infamous "Tyga?!" rant which turned into a full-blown press run. Soulja's been making it clear that he's the reason why some of your favorite artists have careers. A$AP Rocky, who's career blossomed on the Internet, believes that he wouldn't have a career if Soulja Boy didn't pave the way.

Speaking with Big Boy, Rocky was asked about his feelings about Soulja Boy's come back. Although it's easy to dismiss Big Draco by laughing at his antics, Rocky admitted that Soulja did pave the way for artists to be self-sufficient by using the internet.

"If it wasn't for Soulja Boy, man, A$AP Rocky probably wouldn't be around, man," he admitted. "It's not too far-fetched as me saying 'If it wasn't for Kanye and Pharrell I wouldn't be able to do what I do in fashion and navigate and learn from their mistakes' and what not."

He added, "He kinda made a formula. He was the first to do it and it work for him and since then I think that kind of became a basis of a standard way to make it."

Unfortunately, Rocky hasn't had the chance to tell that to Soulja Boy personally, he did speak on having the viral sensation at 2019 Yams Day.

"He showed up to Yams day and unfortunately, I was in the back cursin' out some sound people," he recalled. "By the time he got off stage -- you know, A$AP Ferg invited him. So shout outs to Soulja, I'm so thankful he came to show love."
